iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max reportedly hit by charging problems

Apple recently launched the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max at an Gather Around event in the US. The phones went on sale last week and users have already started to report some issues with the premium smartphone’s charging. According to a report, several users are facing problems when they charge their iPhones with wired chargers. They say that when they plug-in their iPhones to charge with the charger, the handsets didn’t charge until they had to manually wake the screen up. Some users said they had to flip the cable before it started to charge the smartphone. According to Gizmochina, the users have created a thread on the Apple Community website which lists the problems. Famous YouTube personality Lewis Hilsenteger of the Unbox Therapy has also confirmed the issue. He asked for eight iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max smartphones and he claims that of the eight, seven units suffered from the issue. He claims that “one iPhone XS Max didn’t even wake up even after pushing the power button while another didn’t charge at all even after waking up the phone.” As per a fix, users are needed to turn on the “USB Accessories” feature under “Face ID and Passcode” settings. However, the fix reportedly is working for everyone. The report says that some users even took their phones for a replacement but the replacement units are also plagued with the same problem. Meanwhile, Apple hasn’t issued an official statement until now. The problem is apparently software-related and an update is likely to fix the issue.
