You can now create a WhatsApp Group with no name, no we arent joking

Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has another new feature. This time, the app is catering to those who struggle with naming their new group chats on the instant messaging app. The new feature allows you to now create groups without having a name. The feature was announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and has started rolling out to all users.

With the new feature, WhatsApp has made naming a group optional. The feature, however, is limited to groups that have up to six people added. When users try to make a group with six people, they don't need to add a name. However, if you try to create a group with more people, naming it will become mandatory.

Without a name, a WhatsApp group will appear different to everyone. For example, if you are added in a group with people who do not have your contact saved, your phone number will appear within the group name. The feature has been launched in addition to the option of starting a group without having a profile photo.

For those who aren't aware, WhatsApp allows you to add up to 1,024 members to a group. The new feature has started rolling out for all iOS and Android users. In case your WhatsApp is not allowing you to create a WhatsApp group without a name, you can try and update the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
